supportive environment where children feel safe and loved.

In this class we'll become letter detectives, explore science

concepts, create through art and play, learn about each other

through Show and Tell, and so much more. Field trips (Seattle Children's Theater, etc.), nature walks and neighborhood

outings are planned for Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Learning is fun when you're learning with friends! 

Must be three years old by August 31st

and must be potty trained.

Monday through Thursday 8:30am-12pm ~ $800/mo

Add on Lunch Bunch from 12-1pm available.

We believe preparing for kindergarten should be fun! With the introduction of "jobs", each child will be assigned a weekly responsibility such as Calendar Friend (patterning and counting), Weather Reporter, Project Helper, and Line Leader, just to name a few. We'll be doing more language arts, and delve deeper into science and the world around us. Show and Tell, field trips & neighborhood outings, making art, and imagining with friends add to the fun. 

At WHP we encourage children to explore, question, and discover at their own pace and believe in a child-centered approach to learning. Our teachers create a supportive and nurturing environment where children feel safe to take risks and make mistakes.  We're very proud of this program and love the time spent with your naturally curious and interested children as they get ready to move on to the next big thing.

At Whittier Heights Preschool and Early Learning Center, we believe that every child deserves a strong start in life. We are committed to providing a high-quality education that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

A non-refundable $200 annual registration and school supply fee is required for each child, payable upon enrollment.

WHP follows the Seattle Public School calendar for holidays and breaks. Our school year begins the Monday following SPS start and ends the Thursday before SPS end so families can more easily work around  their children's different school activities.

A full years tuition is divided into ten equal monthly payments regardless of how many days we are in session each month. No discount is given for illness, vacation, or unforeseen events.

Our child to teacher ratio is a maximum of 7:1. 

We offer a 10% sibling discount on the equal or lesser tuition amount, not the combined tuition amount.

An extra hour to enjoy a packed lunch and additional time for play, while giving YOU an extra hour for errands and self care.

In an effort to keep the immunocompromised in our community safe - students, infant siblings, and sick family members who cannot be vaccinated -  we require that children at WHP are up to date on immunizations and children and parents are vaccinated against Covid.
